Hoshin (Purpose/Aim)

In today's plentiful society, where people are well provided for and want for little in the way of material things, it is believed that now, more than ever, Karate has a necessary and important role to play in contributing to the health of society. By educating the young in the way of traditional Karate, we can cultivate people with strong minds and strong bodies who can function in society to the benefit of society.

Karate training is a moral training, as well as a physical one for self defence. It isn't only concerned with developing fighting machines. Traditional Karate, taught in correct way, will cultivate people able to defend themselves, but just as importantly, it will cultivate within them a sense of responsibility, a sense of justice, and courage which will help them behave in the correct way. It is important to be aware of this side of Karate training concerned with development of a good character.
